 Adriana Salame Aspiazu

Bio:

I am an installation artist, designer, and creative director who specializes in creating immersive atmospheres for events drawing large crowds. Among my best-known creations are the famous Washington D.C. pop-up bars that amassed hours long lines and billions of media impressions from 2015-2019, including the holiday-themed Miracle on 7th Street, Cherry Blossom P.U.B., and the Game of Thrones P.U.B. I have also designed temporary events installations for a variety of clients, including the Smithsonian museums and the participants of the SxSW festivals.

I draw inspiration from pop culture, traditional art, and the natural world and have been honing my craft over the last 10+ years. I have a sharp eye for what will delight a crowd, create a photographic Instagram "moment," or stamp a theme or season into the heart of a guest. I was named a 2019 Cultural Visionary by On Tap Magazine, and my work is recognized and widely praised by events professionals and career artists alike. In particular, my work creating Miracle on 7th Street propelled Washington D.C. into the national spotlight as a holiday destination, inspiring an entire industry of holiday pop-ups.

When I am not wielding a foam knife or paintbrush, I enjoy long walks at the National Arboretum and devouring local oysters and crabs.
