The one that started it all, Miracle on 7th Street was originally slated to occupy just one small space out of the three available conjoined bars. However, the response was so overwhelming, amassing hours-long lines, that it grew to become a D.C. holiday tradition and boosted the Miracle franchise to expand nationwide to over 100 locations. The wild popularity of the "Christmas Bar" immediately presented the challenge of fulfilling even higher expectations for the following year. This was the lynchpin that ignited my passion for delivering the holiday spirit to my city through ever more elaborate installations. Before Miracle, Washington D.C. was not particularly known for its Christmas spirit. Now, Christmas-themed bars dot the city through the holiday season, but any true Washingtonian can point out the original.
